Based in Amsterdam, my work spans from grand-scale drone shows illuminating the night sky, to bespoke generative installations that breathe life into physical architecture. By pushing the boundaries of simulation software like Houdini, I aim to uncover the unseen rhythms of light and form.
The Process of Creating Media Art
Inspired by nature, universal symbolism, and shared associations, I create digital art pieces in the style of Ambient Art. Walk into the space, notice a pleasing shape, continue with your day with the work in the background. The goal is to create an ambience of colors, movement, and familiar shapes that exist even when you don't consciously notice them.
I believe nature is the most important factor in giving us a set of shared visual associations. While cultures might interpret natural elements differently, there are certain universal emotional reactions we inherently share.
My work is driven by the idea that we are more connected than divided. Even though my art is crafted with simulation software and digital tools, it carries a human touch aimed precisely at highlighting those shared, universal associations.
